Removal and installation the HVAC fan drive motor (Opel Vectra C)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the air supply hose to the passenger footwell (see Section 15).

3. Remove the heater fan drive motor resistor assembly (see Section 17).

4. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the fan drive motor.

5. Remove the screws (see accompanying illustration) to secure the fan drive electric motor, press down on the 3 fasteners and remove the fan electric motor from the mounting housing downwards.

Note: On models equipped with climate control, it is necessary to additionally disconnect the wiring for the fan speed controller.

6. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Ensure that the electric motor is correctly positioned in the mounting housing.
