2. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal (see Chapter 5).
3. Remove the air supply hose to the passenger footwell (see Section 15).
4. Press the latches inward and disconnect the connector (see accompanying illustration) electrical wiring of the resistive assembly.

5. Press the lever (see accompanying illustration) and release the resistive assembly from the clips.

6. Slide the resistive assembly so that the guide tabs (see accompanying illustration) match the grooves in the housing and remove the resistive assembly.
7. On models equipped with climate control, disconnect the fan speed controller wiring connector, remove the mounting screws and remove the controller from the motor housing.

8. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the resistive assembly is securely fixed.
