Complete removal and installation of HVAC control panel (Opel Corsa C)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the audio system/navigation unit (depending on the configuration) together with the mounting housing (see Chapter 12).

3. Remove the screws securing the HVAC control panel (see accompanying illustration).

4. Peel off the HVAC control panel trim panel, first from the top and then from the sides (see accompanying illustrations), use a plastic wedge if necessary.

5. On Corsa models, remove the main glove box (see Chapter 11).

6. On Corsa models, disconnect the drive cable from the air distributor housing (2) and disconnect the cable end from the mixing flap lever (see accompanying illustration).

7. Disconnect the air distribution flap drive from the back of the control panel (see accompanying illustration) and remove it from the guides.

8. On Meriva models, disconnect the cable from the back of the HVAC control panel and remove the cable end.

9. Press the clamps using a plastic wedge (see accompanying illustration) and remove the HVAC control panel from the instrument panel by pushing it backwards.

10. On Corsa models, separate the drive cable from the back of the HVAC control panel and disconnect the cable end (see accompanying illustration).

11. Unlock and disconnect the unit's electrical wiring connector.

12. Installation is the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the HVAC control panel cover is securely fastened when installed (see accompanying illustration).
