Attention! Disks change in pairs per axle.
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
2. Screw the wheel bolts into the disc through the bushings 10 mm long (see photo).
3. Rotate the disc slowly to check the condition of the disc surface for wear and damage. Remove pads if necessary. Minor damage allowed (scratches) in the area of contact between discs and pads. If there is severe wear or cracks, replace the disc. Check disc thickness (the maximum permissible thickness is stamped on the outer surface of the disc).
4. Check disc runout (see photo), by placing the indicator 10 mm from its edge.
5. If the rear brake disc runout is excessive, check the wheel bearing adjustment (Chapter 10).
6. If the runout of the front brake disc exceeds the norm, then remove the disc and check the cleanliness of the adjacent surfaces of the disc and hub. If the runout is still above normal after cleaning and installing the disc, replace the disc.
Front brake discs
7. Turn out temporarily established bolts.
8. Remove the front brake caliper with pads and bracket, move the assembly aside and secure (see photo). On 1.8L models with ABS and all 2.0L models, remove the caliper bracket and disconnect the hose from the suspension strut.
9. Loosen the screw and remove the drive (see photo).
10. Install the disc in reverse order. Wrap the disk fastening screw on the fixing compound.
Rear brake discs
11. Remove the rear brake pads, remove the caliper from the top swivel and secure.
12. Turn away bolts and remove an arm of a support from the suspension arm.
13. Loosen the screw and remove the disc from the hub (see photo).
14. Install the disc in reverse order.
