1. Release the vacuum in the brake booster by pressing the brake pedal several times. On Zafira models, remove the deflector under the windshield.
2. Unscrew the plug and remove the liquid from the feed tank (or pump it out by unscrewing the nipple on the caliper). Disconnect the wires from the fluid level sensor.
3. Clean the nipples on the master cylinder. Mark the nipples so that they can be attached to their original locations during assembly. Unscrew the nipple nuts, carefully remove the tubes and plug the holes.
4. On models with a manual transmission, disconnect the clutch hydraulic hose from the reservoir.
5. Unscrew the nuts and remove the master cylinder from the vacuum booster. Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp and remove the feed tank from the cylinder.

6. The brake master cylinder cannot be disassembled and is replaced as a whole (only the tank, tank seals and cylinder gasket on the vacuum booster are supplied as spare parts).
7. Installation is performed in the reverse order. When installing the cylinder on the vacuum booster, make sure that the booster pushrod enters the cylinder at the center. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
