1. Remove the vacuum in the vacuum booster by pressing the brake pedal several times. On Zafira models, remove the deflector under the windshield.
2. Unscrew the plug and remove the liquid from the nutrient tank (or pump out by unscrewing the fitting on the caliper). Disconnect the wires from the fluid level sensor.
3. Clean the fittings on the main cylinder. Designate the fitting in order to attach to the original places during assembly. Unscrew the union nuts, carefully remove the tubes and plug the holes.
4. On models with a manual transmission, disconnect the clutch hydraulic pipe from the reservoir.
5. Turn away nuts and remove the main cylinder from the vacuum amplifier. Open the clamp with a screwdriver and remove the nutrient tank from the cylinder.
6. The brake master cylinder is not subject to disassembly and changes entirely (only the reservoir, reservoir seals and cylinder gasket on the vacuum booster are supplied as spare parts).
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing the cylinder on a vacuum booster, make sure that the push rod of the booster enters the cylinder in the center. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque.
