The individual symbols that light up mean the following:
Windscreen washer fluid level: This indicator draws attention to the fact that the windscreen washer fluid level in the reservoir is too low.
If the liquid level remains too low for approximately 30 seconds continuously, an indicator comes on.
Engine oil level: The engine oil level is too low when the ignition is turned on.
Low oil: signal of acute oil deficiency. Stop immediately and turn off the engine. Check the oil level.
Coolant level: The coolant level in the expansion tank is too low.
Low beam and tail lights: failure of the low beam or tail light bulb.
This check in the control system cannot be carried out in automatic test mode. To check, the driver must first turn on the low beam. The low beam and rear lights are checked together. The system cannot show a simultaneous failure of the filaments in the low beam and rear lights due to its design. Although this is an unlikely defect.
Brake lights: failure of one brake light. If the towing hitch is installed in the factory configuration, the indicator light also signals the failure of the trailer brake light bulb.
When the ignition is switched on, a defect in the brake lights is simulated, i.e. after the "Check" control has been completed, the indicator continues to light. When the brake pedal is pressed for the first time, if the brake system is in good order, the indicator goes out. If there is a defect in the brake light circuit, the indicator remains on. If the defect occurs while driving, the "Brake light" message comes on when the brake pedal is pressed again. In the trailer brake lights, only the failure of one of the incandescent lamps is recognized and displayed. The lamp monitoring device in the monitoring system is designed based on the power of an incandescent lamp of 2 r 21 W. Using lamps of a different power or having more than two brake lights on the trailer may lead to distortion of the indication.
Brake Light Fuse: Brake light fuse is blown.
Brake pad: Front disc brake pads are worn down to minimum thickness.
The sensor here is a coated wire loop inserted into the brake pad. If the brake pad is worn, the loop disengages (interrupted) and the control lamp comes on.
Automatic transmission: Error in the electronic part of the automatic transmission. The transmission no longer shifts automatically.
Left: removing the left lever switch. Press the locking levers (arrows) at the top and bottom of the switch and remove the switch from the steering column outward.
Right: removing the key switch (1) for the fog lights and headlights. Unlock (arrow) the switch element with a small screwdriver and press the key switch away from the light switch.
Tip: If the symbol "-,-°C" appears in the indicator field of the triple-function information display or the letter "F" appears on the multi-function information display, this should be understood as a "disease message" of the display. In this case, amateur intervention is impossible, but the system is capable of diagnostics, i.e. the diagnostic computer in the Opel workshop will quickly provide information on the cause of the error.
