The engine is lubricated under pressure from an oil pump driven from the right end of the crankshaft. The oil is sucked in through a mesh filter located in the oil receiver, and then flows through an external installed filter into the channels of the cylinder block. The connecting rod bearings are supplied with oil through an internal bore in the crankshaft. The camshaft lobes and valves are lubricated with spray oil, as are all other moving parts of the engine.
