1. Turn the cylinder head bolts to the final angle (if you haven't already done so).
2. Check that there is enough fuel in the tank so that the battery is fully charged and all lubricants and fluids are filled.
3. To bleed the fuel system, it will take longer than usual for the engine to start with the starter. Do not turn on the starter for more than 10 seconds, pause for about the same duration to restore the battery and starter.
4. As soon as the engine is started, watch that the control lamp of pressure of oil has gone out. This will take a few seconds until the oil filter is full. There will also be some valve train noise until the hydraulic tappets are properly filled with oil.
5. Check the system for oil, coolant and fuel leaks.
6. Warm up the engine to operating temperature, then adjust the idle speed.
7. Turn off the engine and check the entire length of the exhaust pipe connections. Also check for oil or coolant leaks at the same time.
8. Perform Step 5 tightening the cylinder head bolts.
9. Check engine oil and coolant levels, top up if necessary.
10. Check the operation of the car in motion.
11. If new liners and/or pistons have been installed, the engine must be operated at reduced speed and load for the first 1000 km. Then change the engine oil and filter.
12. Also, after running the first 1000 km, the cylinder head bolts must be tightened to the angle specified in the Specifications for Stage 6. This must be done on a cold or warm (not hot) engine.
