Engine — installation (Opel Omega A)

The engine is installed in the reverse order of removal, as given in Chapter 6, but in addition, note the following points:

• a) Lightly lubricate the transmission input shaft or torque converter bushing.
• b) On models with automatic transmission, check that the torque converter is fully occupied by the transmission oil pump.
• c) Fill the engine with the specified quantity and grade of oil.
• d) On models with manual transmission, adjust the clutch cable as described in Section 5.
• e) Adjust the throttle cable and, where necessary, the automatic transmission downshift cable (kickdown) and the medium speed control cable.
• j) Fill the cooling system.
