Power Steering Fluid Cooling Pipes (Where Used) — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

Note: Use new hydraulic hose pipe connector O-rings when installing.

Removal

1. Remove the radiator (Section 3).

2. Working on the left side of the engine compartment, disconnect the power steering hydraulic system pipe couplings (see illustration). Be prepared for fluid to escape and plug any open pipe openings to prevent dirt from entering and further fluid loss.



3. Release the three plastic clips securing the pipes to the lower body panel, then remove the pipes from the engine compartment (see illustration).

Installation

4. Install in reverse order. Replace the O-rings when connecting the hydraulic line pipe coupling and install the radiator as described in Section 3.

5. Finally, top up the fluid level and bleed the hydraulic line as described in Chapter 39.
