To ensure better access, apply the handbrake, then use a jack to raise the front of the vehicle and secure it on stands under the drive axle.



On DOHC models, remove the lower engine splash shield as directed in chapter 11.

Disconnect the coolant line fittings. There may be a coolant leak, so plug any open holes.

Remove the three plastic clips securing the tubes to the underbody panel, then remove the tubes from the engine compartment (fig. 10.36.).

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, but replace the sealing rings when connecting the pipe fittings.

Top up the fluid to the required level and bleed the hydraulic circuit as described above.
