Make sure the wheels are straight before taking measurements.
If it appears that adjustment is necessary, remove dirt from the ends of the tie rods near the adjuster and bolts.
Loosen the bolts (one on each tie rod ball joint and one on each tie rod) and adjusting device on each tie rod for the same number of turns (revolutions) in one direction. It is only necessary to turn each pin a quarter of a turn at a time before rechecking.
If the adjustment is correct, tighten the clamp bolts as required. Follow. so that the length of each transverse link is the same (within 5.0mm) and that the steering wheel spokes are in the correct position for straight wheels.
