ABS Wheel Speed Sensor — Removal and Installation (Opel Omega A)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Jack up the front or rear of the car and secure it with supports.

Front sensor

3. Remove the front wheels.

4. Inside the engine compartment, unhook the sensor wiring harness from the suspension.

5. Under the wheel arch, release the sensor wiring from the hose clamps.

6. Remove the electrical wiring sealing rings from the hose hangers.

7. Using a socket wrench, loosen the bolt securing the sensor to the steering knuckle, then lift the sensor up.

8. Remove the wiring harness sealing ring from the inner panel and remove the wheel speed sensor.

9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Rear sensor

10. Under the vehicle, unclip the sensor wiring harness from the underbody mounting, then separate the halves.



11. Using a socket wrench, loosen the bolt securing the sensor to the differential mount, then pull out the sensor along with all the gaskets.

12. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
