1. Inside the car, disconnect the wiring from the brake stop light switch, then unscrew the switch from the pedal suspension, marking the position (photo).
2. Disconnect the clutch and brake pedal return springs.
3. Remove the spring clip and pull out the pin with a head and a hole for the cotter pin that secures the servomotor pusher to the brake pedal.
4. Disconnect the cable from the clutch pedal.
5. Remove the nut from the end of the pedal arm and remove the spacer.
6. Remove the nuts securing the pedal hanger to the bulkhead and rotate the hanger around the steering column to allow the pedal arm to be removed. Note that, on later models, it may be necessary to remove the steering column in order to pull the pedal suspension from the mounting posts. The column is removed as described in Section 10, Chapter 22, noting that it is not necessary to remove the steering wheel or lock cylinder; the column can be removed along with them.
7. Remove brackets of fastening of a pedal, and get a shaft. Take the thrust washers.
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
