Power Steering Hydraulic Reservoir — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

1. To remove the tank from the mounting bracket, loosen the screw and remove the clamp.

2. Place a suitable container underneath to catch the liquid, then disconnect the hoses from the tank and drain the liquid.

Cap the ends of the hoses to prevent dirt from entering and further fluid loss.

3. If required, the mounting bracket can be unscrewed from the body panel. Please note that on some models the bolts securing the bracket also secure the ignition coil (see Section 5). Before removing, detach the brake pipes and electrical wiring from the bracket.

Installation

4. Install in reverse order. Finally, bleed the hydraulic line (Chapter 39).
