Removal



1. Place the vehicle on a lift.

2. Loosen the parking brake cables using the adjusting nut A of the equalizer (figure 8.7).

3. Remove cable B. Disconnect cable C. Unscrew bolts D securing the parking brake lever, remove the parking brake lever (figure 8.8).

Installation



4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Adjustment



5. Tighten and release the parking brake lever five times to return the parking brake cables to their normal operating position.



6. Measure the X dimensions on the left and right brake mechanisms (figure 8.9). The sum of the dimensions should be within 0.1-0.5 mm.

Attention! The sum of the dimensions should not exceed 0.5 mm.


7. Adjust these dimensions using the equalizer adjusting nut.

8. Pull and release the parking brake lever five times to return the parking brake cables to their normal operating position. Check the adjustment.

Tightening torques



Parking brake system drive lever mounting bolt - 44 Nm.
