From outside the car, turn the key, remove it from the lock, lift the handle and open the door.
To open the lock using the remote control, point the remote control towards the car, press the button, then lift the door handle.
To lock the doors from inside the vehicle, close the door and press the door lock button.
If the front door lock buttons are pressed with the doors open, they will rise up to the unlocked position when the doors are locked or slammed. This is specifically designed to protect against accidental locking of the doors from the inside, when the driver would not be able to get into the car.
Warnings:
- When you leave your vehicle unattended, be sure to remove the key from the ignition switch, apply the parking brake, close all windows and lock all doors.
- When the vehicle is moving, all doors must be tightly closed and locked to prevent them from being accidentally opened while the vehicle is moving. Locked doors also protect occupants from potential criminals while driving at low speeds and when the vehicle is stopped.
