Adjusting the rear view mirrors

Before driving, make sure the mirrors are adjusted correctly.

The car is equipped with left and right rear view mirrors. The mirrors can be adjusted - using a lever or switch - depending on the vehicle's equipment.

Interior mirror

Adjust the position of the inside rearview mirror so that it displays the best possible view through the rear window. Make the adjustment before starting your trip.

To reduce glare from the headlights of a vehicle behind you, use the day/night switch.

Warning: Do not adjust the position of the rearview mirror while the vehicle is moving. Failure to do so may result in loss of vehicle control, serious injury or death.

If the vehicle is equipped with heated outside rearview mirrors, pressing the rear window defroster switch will also defog the outside rearview mirrors.

Warnings:
  • Do not adjust the position of the mirrors while the vehicle is moving.
  • Before starting to drive, check the position of the rear-view mirrors.
  • Do not use a scraper to remove ice from the outside rearview mirrors, or attempt to manually adjust the mirrors if they are locked in place, as this may damage the mirrors.
  • The mirrors will stop moving once they reach their extreme positions, but if you keep the switch on, the mirror drive motor will continue to operate. Therefore, do not press the button longer than necessary, because the electric motor may be damaged.
