2. Transmission oil drained when hot (those. immediately after driving); contaminants are more easily removed from hot oil. Work is best done with rubber gloves.
3. Jack up the vehicle and place it securely on jack stands. Try to keep the car as level as possible.
4. Place the necessary equipment under the vehicle, being careful not to touch the hot exhaust system components.
5a. Place a drain pan under the transmission and remove the fill plug from the side of the transmission. Loosen the drain plug. The oil drain plug for the MSG gearbox is located on the underside of the intermediate housing, in the location shown in fig.
5b. The MUA gearbox has two drain plugs shown in fig. When draining, both plugs are unscrewed.
6. Carefully remove the drain plug. Be careful not to burn yourself with hot oil.
7. Let the oil drain completely. Clean the drain plug thoroughly, then install it and tighten it securely.
8a. Read Section Instructions Checking the oil level in the manual gearbox and transfer case and fill the transmission with new oil, then install the filler cap and tighten it securely.

9. Lower the car to the ground. After driving the first few kilometers, check if the drain plug is leaking.
