2. Transmission oil is drained while hot (i.e. immediately after a car trip); hot oil makes it easier to remove dirt. It is better to carry out work wearing rubber gloves.
3. Jack up the vehicle and support it securely on supports. Try to position the car as level as possible.
4. Place the necessary equipment under the vehicle, being careful not to touch hot exhaust system components.

5a. Place a drain pan under the transmission and remove the fill plug from the side of the transmission. Loosen the drain plug. The MSG transmission oil drain plug is located on the bottom side of the intermediate case, in the location shown in the illustration.

5b. The MUA transmission has two drain plugs shown in the illustration. When draining, unscrew both plugs.
6. Carefully remove the drain plug. Be careful not to burn yourself with hot oil.
7. Allow the oil to drain completely. Clean the drain plug thoroughly, then install it and tighten it securely.
8a. Read the Section instructions Checking the oil level in the manual transmission and transfer case and fill the transmission with new oil, then install the filler cap and tighten it securely.

8b. MSG Transmission Filler Plug Locations: There is only one hole here.

8c. Location of filler plugs (2 plugs) of the MUA gearbox. When checking the oil level, unscrew both plugs.
9. Lower the car to the ground. After driving the first few kilometers, check to see if the drain plug is leaking.
