Due to the design of the suspension, the rear springs can only be replaced one at a time. Springs should be replaced as a set.
Removing
1. Support the front wheels with wheel chocks, jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Remove rear wheels.
2. On Wagon models, equipped with a rear ride height adjustment system, remove the cover of the right rear combination lamp in the luggage compartment and bleed the pressure from the system through the valve. Disconnect the air tube from the shock absorber.
3. Support the appropriate rear beam trailing arm with a trolley jack.
4. Turn out the bottom bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber to the lever.
5. Gently press the trailing arm down as far as possible without loading the brake line.
6. Remove the spring and its rubber seats from the trailing arm and body member and remove the components from under the vehicle (see illustration Rear suspension design), - note that the upper saddle is equipped with a built-in fender.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order to the dismantling of the components. Pay attention to the following points.
1. Before installing the shock absorber, make sure that the spring and spacers are installed correctly.
2. Track, that fixture of the shock-absorber has been tightened with demanded effort.
3. Do not forget that the springs must be changed in pairs - repeat the procedure for the second spring.
4. On models equipped with a rear ride height adjustment system, charge the system with air at 0.8 bar, then adjust the pressure according to the vehicle's load.
