Removal
1. Remove the rear brake drum/disc (see Chapter Brake system).
2. On models equipped with ABS, release the wheel sensor wiring from the retainer on the back of the hub assembly (see illustration Rear Wheel Hub Assembly Nuts and ABS Sensor Wiring).

3. On models with rear drum brakes support the brake shield from below, models with disc mechanisms tie the brake caliper base plate to the rear suspension coil spring, making sure that there is no load on the brake pipe.
4. While holding the rear hub, loosen the mounting nuts from the inside of the trailing arm (see illustration Rear Wheel Hub Assembly Nuts and ABS Sensor Wiring). Remove the hub assembly from the lever - note that the guide pins determine the uniqueness of the hub fit on the lever models with rear disc brakes remove the caliper base plate.
Installation
1. If equipped, install the caliper base plate onto the trailing arm - ensure that the mounting holes are aligned correctly.
2. Install the hub assembly and secure it with new nuts. Tighten the nuts to the required torque, then tighten them to the specified Specifications corners.
3. If equipped, replace the wheel sensor wiring harness.
4. Install the rear brake drum/disc (see Chapter Brake system). Check the proper functioning of the parking brake, if necessary, adjust its drive (see Chapter Brake system).
