Removing
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Remove the idle air control valve and its hoses as previously stated.
Release the clip, then disconnect the end of the swivel from the throttle lever. Remove the throttle cable rubber grommet from the bracket located on the intake manifold and move the cable aside.
Loosen the clamp screw and disconnect the air line from the throttle body.
Remove the nut and disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the intake manifold.
Disconnect the breather hose on the camshaft cover from the throttle body.
Disconnect the coolant hoses from the throttle body. There may be coolant leakage, so clamp the hoses to prevent coolant leakage.
Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.
Disconnect the vacuum tube from the top side of the fuel pressure regulator.
Disconnect the wiring harness cover from the fuel injectors and move them to the side, being careful not to pull the wires.
Disconnect the fuel hoses from the fuel distributor. Loosen slowly to relieve pressure in the fuel system. Possible fuel leakage, so take fire precautions. Clamp the hoses to prevent dirt and fuel leakage.
Remove the nut and bolt securing the alternator.
Make sure. that all relevant hoses, tubes and wires are connected.
After unscrewing the nuts, remove the exhaust manifold, and if necessary, and auxiliary components, as indicated earlier.
Installation
The order of work: as indicated above in the subsection "Intake manifold installation".
