Removing
Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Disconnect the air flow meter wire. Remove the O-ring where required.
Loosen the air line clamp screw on the right side of the flowmeter.
Using a socket wrench, unscrew the four bolts securing the airbox to the throttle body.
Lift the air box off the throttle body and disconnect the hose from the air box base, then remove the air box/air flow meter assembly.
Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.
Remove the cable end from the throttle lever, then remove the cable end rubber grommet from the bracket located on the intake manifold and move the throttle cable aside.
Disconnect the two breather hoses from the back of the camshaft cover. Disconnect the larger hose from the main throttle body and remove it.
Place a rag under one of the fuel hose fittings on the fuel rail to collect escaping fuel while disconnecting the fitting.
Slowly loosen the fuel hose fitting, gradually reducing the pressure in the fuel system, then disconnect the hose from the distributor. Possible fuel leakage, so take fire precautions. Clamp the fuel hose to prevent dirt from entering and fuel leakage.
Repeat for the rest of the fuel hose connections to the fuel distributor.
Disconnect the vacuum tubes from the front of the vehicle's wheel traction control throttle body (RTU).
Disconnect the cooling system hoses from the RTU throttle body. noting their location for subsequent installation. There may be a coolant leak, so pinch the hose to reduce coolant loss.
Disconnect the wiring harness cover from the fuel injectors and move it to the side, being careful not to pull on the wires. Lift the shroud and squeeze the connector clips to release the shroud from the injectors.
Loosen the nut and disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose from the left side of the intake manifold.
Loosen the nut and remove the fuel hose bracket from the left side of the throttle body.
Remove the nuts and disconnect the ground wires from the fuel rail studs at both ends.
Turn away a bolt and remove an arm of fastening of knot a cable/hose from the left side of an inlet manifold.
Remove the idle control valve as described earlier in one of the sections.
Remove the top nut and alternator mounting bolt.
Make sure all related hoses, tubes and wires are disconnected.
After unscrewing the nuts, remove the intake manifold and auxiliary components.
Installation
The order of performance of work, as indicated above in the subsection "Intake manifold installation", however, make sure that the throttle body cooling hoses of the RTU system are located and connected in such a way. as before removal.
