Models of engines with one camshaft
See section "exhaust system", Part "A" this chapter with the following in mind.
The factory fitted exhaust system consists of four separate sections, including an exhaust gas catalytic converter (see the relevant section in parts "IN"), each of which can be replaced separately. Manufacturers do not specify the exact date of replacement of the catalytic converter. The oxygen content sensor in the exhaust gases is installed in the front section of the exhaust pipe on 2.0L engine models.
When checking the exhaust system, also check the catalytic converter for signs of damage or corrosion, as well as the oxygen sensor and its wires for damage.
Engine models with two camshafts
See the preceding paragraphs for twin cam engines, but consider the presence of a tubular exhaust manifold that includes the front section of the exhaust system.
