Single camshaft engine models
See section "Exhaust system", part "A" of this chapter, taking into account the following.
The factory-installed exhaust system consists of four separate sections, including a catalytic converter (see the relevant section in parts "B " ), each of which can be replaced separately. Manufacturers do not specify an exact replacement period for the catalytic converter. The exhaust gas oxygen sensor is mounted in the front section of the exhaust pipe on 2.0L engine models.
When checking the exhaust system, also check the catalytic converter for signs of damage or corrosion, and the oxygen sensor and its wires for damage.
Twin Cam Engine Models
See the previous points regarding twin cam engines, but note the presence of a tubular exhaust manifold that includes the front section of the exhaust system.
