Removing the central clutch release module with release bearing
Remove the gearbox.
Unscrew the discharge pipe from the central clutch release module.
Unscrew the three mounting bolts of the central clutch release module and remove the module together with the gearbox housing.
Remove the o-ring underneath and insert a new o-ring lubricated with oil.
The central clutch release module and the release bearing are closely related. If there is a leak or damage, the central clutch release module assembly must be replaced.
Screw in the central clutch release module 5 Nm.
Tighten the discharge pipe to 14 Nm.
After assembly, fill and bleed the clutch hydraulic system.
Bleeding the clutch hydraulics
Fill the brake fluid expansion tank with fresh fluid.
During pumping, make sure that fresh fluid is added in a timely manner, even before its level drops. Otherwise, air will be sucked into the system again, and the work will be in vain.
Remove the dust cap from the bleed valve on the gearbox and slide the transparent hose over the wiped clean valve.
Lower the free end of the hose into a container partially filled with brake fluid.
Open the bleed valve half a turn.
Have your assistant slowly depress and release the gas pedal again until no air bubbles are visible in the hose.
When there are no more air bubbles, the assistant should hold the clutch pedal in the lowest position, and at this time you close the bleed valve. Tighten carefully, otherwise the valve will be torn off! (9 Nm).
