Checking the condition of the timing belt (Opel Vectra B)

Remove the front timing belt cover.
The toothed belt must not be oily or have cracks.
The sides of the teeth must be in good condition and must not show any signs of wear.
Turn the engine over so you can inspect the belt along its entire length.
Replace a damaged timing belt immediately!
