With the engine not running, fill the ATF tank to the top.
Start the engine several times and immediately turn it off. After each shutdown, immediately add ATF to the lower mark on the measuring ruler. The hydraulic pump must not run dry.
With the engine running, slowly turn the steering wheel 45° in both directions two or three times, then from lock to lock twice. Do not hold the steering wheel at the lock for longer than 10 seconds.
Adjust the fluid level again.

The photograph shows the servo pump (1) of an eight-valve engine with a working volume of 1.6 liters. The poly V-belt has been removed.
The following numbers indicate:
2 - expansion tank;
3 - supply pipeline;
4 - poly V-belt pulley.
Left:the photograph shows the shockproof plate (2) unscrewed from the steering wheel with the wire connector (1) connected.
