Check and Inspection
Antifreeze is designed not only to protect the entire cooling system from freezing, but also to protect all parts that are washed by the cooling liquid from corrosion / liming. Therefore, even in the tropics, you can not refuse to add antifreeze.
Along with the composition of the fuel mixture, the quality of the water also plays an important role. Drinking water generally meets these requirements. The regenerated sea water is qualitatively insufficient.
Engine damage can also be caused by unapproved antifreezes.
Once the radiator, cylinder head or cylinder head seal has been replaced, the used coolant must not be reused.
Open the cooling system.
Turn away a cover of a compensatory tank of a cooling liquid.
Pour coolant into the coolant expansion tank up to the mark «KALT/COLD».
Replace the coolant reservoir cap.
Run the engine at idle until the thermostat opens.
Note. Air escapes from the cooling system during the warm-up phase of the engine.
Stop the engine, let it cool down.
Check the coolant level in the coolant expansion tank and top up if necessary.
