Checking and inspection

Antifreeze is designed not only to protect the entire cooling system from freezing, but also to protect all parts washed by the cooling liquid from corrosion/calcification. Therefore, even in tropical conditions, you cannot refuse to add antifreeze.

Along with the composition of the fuel mixture, the quality of the water also plays an important role. Drinking water, as a rule, meets these requirements. Regenerated sea water is insufficient in terms of quality.

Engine damage can also occur from unapproved antifreezes.

Once the radiator, cylinder head or cylinder head gasket has been replaced, used coolant cannot be reused.

Open the cooling system.

Unscrew the cap of the coolant expansion tank.

Fill the coolant into the coolant expansion tank up to the "KALT/COLD" mark.

Replace the coolant expansion tank cap.

Run the engine at idle speed until the thermostat opens.

Note: Air is released from the cooling system during the engine warm-up phase.

Stop the engine and let it cool down.

Check the coolant level in the coolant expansion tank and top up to the required level if necessary.
