Engine oil change (Z10XE, Z10XEP) (Opel Corsa C)

Removal

Open the hood.

Remove the oil filter insert 3.

Place a receiving tray underneath.

Unscrew the oil filter housing cover 1.

Raise the car.

Note: On the "ECO" model variant: open the service valve 1 in the engine compartment cover at the bottom, unscrew the 4 mounting bolts.

Drain the engine oil.

Unscrew the drain plug.

Installation

Tighten the oil drain plug.

Replace the sealing ring.

Tighten the bolt to a torque of 10 Nm.

Remove the oil pan.



Lower the car.

Note: On the "ECO" model variant: close the service valve 1 in the engine compartment cover at the bottom, tighten the 4 fastening bolts.

Install the oil filter insert.

Insert the oil filter insert.

Install the oil filter housing cover.

Replace sealing ring 2.

Tighten the oil filter housing cover to 10 Nm.

Fill with engine oil.

Observe the prescribed filling volume of engine oil.

Start the engine and let it run until the oil pressure warning light goes out.

Check and, if necessary, adjust the engine oil level.

For Z10XEP only

Reset the service interval data.

Resetting Flexible Maintenance Interval Data (ECO Service-Flex)

Flexible maintenance interval indication (time and kilometers) can be reset on the instrument cluster. The engine control controller is linked to the instrument cluster.

Manual reset

Turn off the ignition. The indicator in the speedometer should show the daily mileage counter.

Press and hold the reset button (daily kilometer mileage button).

Turn on the ignition and wait until the service interval indicator switches, hold down the reset button for at least 3 s.

After a few seconds, the indicator in the speedometer will show a symbol with a maximum mileage of 34,000 km for a petrol engine or 50,000 km for a diesel engine.

The time counter on the device is set to 24 months.

The ECM receives a signal via the CAN bus and the oil condition is set to 100%. This resets the ECM and the indicator.

Furthermore, you should be aware that a reset service reading cannot be updated again, especially if the service log is missing.

Depending on how long the vehicle has been driven since the last oil change/inspection, it is likely that another oil change will be required to avoid engine damage.
