Removal



Open the hood.

Raise the car.

Note: On the "ECO" model variant, remove the engine compartment cover at the bottom.


Drain the engine oil.

Place a receiving tray underneath.

Unscrew the drain plug.

Clear the exhaust system.

Note: When removing the middle muffler, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold or exhaust manifold with catalytic converter, it is necessary to secure the remaining part of the exhaust system in the vehicle from uncontrolled sagging.


For this purpose, the part of the exhaust system with the flexible tube located in it can be secured using suitable means, for example, with wire to the chassis.

Note: Bending the flexible tube even by 5-10 angular degrees relative to the intended installation position may result in damage to the flexible hose and subsequent failure.


Disconnect the catalytic converter monitoring lambda sensor 1 wiring harness connector.

Disconnect the exhaust system - 2 damping partitions (arrows).

Remove the front exhaust pipe 2.

Unscrew 3 nuts.

Connect the exhaust pipe from the front to the front axle housing on the left.

Remove the poly V-belt cover.

Remove 3 mounting bolts 1.

Remove the clamp (arrow).

Remove the clamp (arrow).


Replace the engine oil drain plug.



Replace the sealing ring.

Tighten the bolt to a torque of 10 Nm.

Remove the oil pan.

On the gearbox, unscrew the 3 mounting bolts 1.

On the crankshaft support, unscrew the 14 mounting bolts.

On the crankshaft support, unscrew the 14 mounting bolts.


Installation



Install the oil pan.

Replace the seal.

Tighten the 17 mounting bolts.

Note: Observe the tightening sequence of the mounting bolts.


On the crankshaft support, tighten the 14 mounting bolts to a torque of 10 N·m.

On the gearbox, tighten the 3 mounting bolts to 40 Nm.

Install the exhaust system.

Replace the seal.

Replace the nuts.

Tighten the 3 nuts to a torque of 20 Nm.

Attach the damping partitions.

Connect the catalytic converter monitoring lambda sensor wiring harness connector.

Install the poly V-belt cover.

Note: On the "ECO" model variant, install the engine compartment cover at the bottom.


Tighten the bolts.

Install the clamp.

Lower the car.

Fill with engine oil.

Start the engine and let it run until the oil pressure warning light goes out.

Check and, if necessary, adjust the engine oil level.

Close the hood.
