The rear axle of the Vectra with a 16V engine has disc brakes. Unlike the front wheels, which have disc brakes with a floating caliper, the rear wheels have disc brakes with a fixed caliper.
The brake caliper is fixed and does not have a movable cylinder body like a floating caliper. Instead, a fixed caliper disc brake has two brake pistons. When you press the brake pedal, you depress one brake pad on the right and one on the left.
