3. Release the cold start mechanism by inserting a screwdriver through the two holes in the lever and turning the lever.

5. Screw the adapter together with the dial indicator into the plug socket.



6. Slowly turn the crankshaft in both directions and, observing the indicator readings, set the fuel pump piston to the bottom dead center. Set the indicator arrow to 0.

7. Slowly turn the crankshaft clockwise until the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the pointer.

8. Take readings with a dial indicator, and the value on the indicator should correspond to the value given in the technical specifications. If adjustment is necessary, loosen the fuel pump mounting bolts and nuts and slowly turn the pump body until the dial indicator shows the required value. In this position, tighten the fuel pump mounting bolts and nuts.

9. Turn the engine crankshaft clockwise 3/4 of a turn. Slowly turn the crankshaft back and forth and watch the dial indicator until the fuel pump piston reaches bottom dead center and set the dial indicator pointer to 0.

10. Slowly turn the engine crankshaft clockwise until the timing mark on the crankshaft pulley aligns with the pointer and check the fuel injection timing.

11. Unscrew the adapter with the dial indicator and remove the screwdriver from the cold start mechanism
