1.7L engines
1. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
2. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down for no more than 2–3 seconds and check that the maximum engine speed meets the technical requirements.
3. If adjustment is required, turn off the engine, loosen the lock nut and turn the maximum speed adjustment screw (1) and retighten the lock nut.
4. Recheck the maximum engine speed.
2L engines
Maximum engine speed is set by the ECU and cannot be adjusted.
