Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Unscrew the bolts of the sensor cover located on the front of the transmission (see illustration).



3. Disconnect the sensor wiring connector.

4. Unscrew the sensor and plug the opened hole to prevent fluid loss and dirt from entering the unit.

Installation

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace the sensor O-ring seal and clamp the sensor (if possible) and its cover bolts with a tightening torque specified Specifications.
