The Opel on-board computer informs about the driving parameters, which it continuously registers and evaluates electronically. When the button is pressed, the display shows:
- Current fuel consumption
- Average fuel consumption
- average speed
- Power reserve
- Stopwatch
- Outside temperature
- Time
Indication
With the ignition off - time. With the ignition on - time.
By sequentially pressing the step button: the selected parameter field; "F" the display indicates a malfunction: to eliminate the cause, contact the service station.
step button (ahead) is pressed until the desired parameter field is displayed.
Start button (behind)
Pressed when parameter fields are displayed.
- Average fuel consumption
- average speed
By pressing the start button (at least 2 sec.) both fields run at the same time.
The previously stored data will be automatically erased - at the same time the stopwatch will be reset to zero.
Constant data: time, current fuel consumption, range and outside temperature.
Time not set
If the power is interrupted or the battery voltage drops to 7V or less, all data will be erased.
When the voltage is below this value and the engine is started using the auxiliary cable, the on-board computer after charging the battery, with the engine turned off, by disconnecting the battery (at least 2 minutes) needs to be reactivated.
Time setting
Left: with the clock button. Right: the minute button is set to the nearest second, for example, use a ballpoint pen to set the hours and minutes to the time to be set, when the time appears, press the step or start key.
24 hour indication (12: hour indication).
Current fuel consumption
The display changes depending on the speed:
- Display in l/h - below 13 km/h
- Display in l/100 km - above 13 km/h
- Indication 0 l / 100 km - when the traction is turned off.
Average fuel consumption
The calculation of the average fuel consumption can be started at any time - for example, after refueling - by pressing the start button. Display in l/100 km.
Average speed
The calculation of the average speed can be started again at any time - for example, after the start of movement - by pressing the start button.
Breaks in movement with the ignition off are not taken into account. Display in km/h.
Power reserve over 50 km
The power reserve is calculated based on the current filling of the tank and the average fuel consumption over the last 20-30 km of travel.
After refueling, the range can be calculated again by pressing the start button, or this value is automatically recalculated after approximately 10 km. Display in km.
Range less than 50 km
The indication appears without pressing the step button if the tank content is enough for a distance of less than 50 km. The display flashes.
When another function field is called, this warning function is disabled. New automatic switching to "Reichweite" occurs after traffic stops. Display in km.
Stopwatch
When you press the start button zero - start - stop - zero...
Reference time | Display value numbers | |||
up to 10 min | min | sec | sec | 1/10 sec |
up to 60 min | min | min | sec | sec |
up to 100 hours | hour | hour | min | min |
from 100 hours | hour | hour | hour | hour |
Turning on the stopwatch does not affect the function fields:
- average fuel consumption
- average speed
Outside temperature
The current indication occurs when the sensor is blown with an oncoming air flow. When the temperature drops, the indication changes immediately, when the temperature rises, with a certain delay. Caution: if the temperature is displayed above 0°C, the road surface may be covered with ice.
At temperatures below 3°C, the display switches to "outdoor temperature". When another parameter field is called, this warning function is disabled. Display in°C.
