The Opel on-board computer provides the necessary information about the trip, engine operation, etc., which it continuously monitors and processes. By clicking on the change data button, you can get the following information:
- instantaneous fuel consumption
- average fuel consumption,
- average speed,
- power reserve,
- stopwatch,
- outside air temperature,
- time of day and travel time.
Display indications:
- when off, ignition - time,
- with the ignition on - time,
- when you press the change data button - the selected data area.
Letter F (error) on the display indicates data error. The computer needs to be checked at a service station.
Change data button (anterior)
Press to select the desired data area.
Start button (rear)
Clicking on it (at least 2 seconds) the counter of average fuel consumption and average speed of movement turns on. The previous information is automatically erased and the stopwatch is set to "0" (zero).
The following information is not reset:
- Times of Day,
- instant fuel consumption
- power reserve,
- outside air temperature.
The time of day is not set:
When the voltage is turned off in the mains or when it drops to 7 volts, all data is reset.
After such a decrease in voltage, followed by starting the engine using the battery of another vehicle and returning to normal voltage, it will be necessary to reactivate the computer.
To do this, disconnect the battery terminals from the engine for at least 2 minutes.
Time is set
Left: Clock adjustment button Right: Minute adjustment button Use a ballpoint pen to press the adjustment button to set the corresponding time of day 1 minute later.
At the time signal, press the start button.
Time of day is set in two options: 24 hours or 12 hours.
Instant fuel consumption
The readings change depending on the speed.
- Readings in l/h up to 13 km/h.
- Readings in l/100 km over 13 km/h.
- Reading 0 l / 100 km at off. traction.
Average fuel consumption
A new countdown of the average fuel consumption can be started at each regular refueling by pressing the start button.
Readings in 0 l/100 km
Average moving speed
A new countdown of the average speed can be started, for example, before each trip by pressing the start button.
Breaks in movement, stops with the ignition off, the computer does not take into account.
Readings at 0 km/h
Power reserve over 50 km
The power reserve is calculated according to the actual remaining fuel in the tank and the average fuel consumption over the last 20-30 km.
The countdown of the new range readings begins after refueling and pressing the start button, or they are automatically indicated on the display after driving the first approximately 10 km.
Readings in km
Power reserve up to 50 km
The range readings are displayed on the display independently without pressing the data selection button if there is less fuel left in the tank for more than 50 km. They will flash.
Disabled by selecting and setting the next data area. The automatic reactivation of the range indicators will occur after each stop of the car when the movement is resumed.
Readings in km
Stopwatch
Zero - start - stop - zero...
By pressing the start button
The countdown of time by a stopwatch is carried out independently of the data on average fuel consumption, average speed, and in turn does not affect them.
Outside air temperature
Real data about the external temperature comes from the sensor, which is blown with air while driving. Temperature drop indicators are displayed immediately. Information about its increase - with a slight delay, in order to exclude, if possible, the side effect of engine thermal radiation on real readings.
