Function control (self-diagnosis)
When the ignition is switched on, an automatic control of the functions is carried out, during which all indicator segments are lit on the display for about 5 seconds.
The automatic function control mode allows you to make sure that all the devices on the display are working at a glance. Faulty is determined immediately.
All segments of the various indicators on the display remain on and in full force until the end of the function check.
The display of the electronic speedometer will show one digit for about 2 seconds, then the number 288 will be displayed. As soon as the engine starts, the function control mode is interrupted. After that, all indicators will be real.
"F" - error
If there are erroneous readings on any instrument, they will automatically turn off, and the letter will appear on the electronic oil pressure gauge "F" (error).
To understand the cause of the defect and eliminate it will help at the service station.
Speedometer
The electronic speedometer indicates vehicle speed from 4 to 255 km/h or from 3 to 158 mph. Switching from one system of measurement to another is carried out by pressing the button T, located to the left of the control lamp (at least 3 seconds). At speeds up to 4 km/h (3 mph) the display shows 0.
Total mileage counter
Switching from one counter to another (total per daily) is carried out by briefly pressing the button T, to the left of the control lamp.
Trip counter
The daily mileage counter is reset with the 0 button, to the right of the control lamp.
Tachometer
When the maximum frequency is set, the red sector lights up, and when it is exceeded, all segments start flashing. Driving on the tachometer helps save fuel.
- White sector - normal frequency. Try to drive whenever possible in any gear with minimum engine speed (approximately 2000 -3000 rpm). And at a steady pace.
- The red sector is the danger sector! The engine may fail.
PRND321 - automatic transmission
Voltmeter with signal sector
When starting the engine, the voltmeter readings should not be lower than 10 volts, and while driving - not lower than 12 volts. If this happens, the system must be checked at a service station.
When the voltage drops to 9 volts or exceeds 15 volts, the corresponding red triangles will flash.
These signal triangles also control the operation of the generator. When the ignition is on and the engine is not running, they burn without blinking. They go out after starting the engine and gaining a certain speed.
If they flash while driving, this means the battery is not being charged, cooling may be interrupted. On a diesel engine, the power brake booster may fail. Stop and turn off the engine. The help of specialists of the service station is required.
Oil pressure in the engine with a signal sector
In the event of a critical decrease in oil pressure in the engine, a red triangle will flash.
It also functions as an oil pressure warning light. When the ignition is on and the engine is not running, it burns without blinking.
Goes out after starting the engine. It may light up for a short time while the engine is idling hot. Should go out as the rpm increases.
If it flashes while driving, stop the vehicle, turn off the engine. The engine lubrication system may not work. Do not resume traffic - the help of specialists is required.
Fuel reserve
If the tank is full, the display will show the letter F (full). Then digital readings, with a remaining 6 liters, two flashing strokes are displayed Refueling required.
Coolant temperature gauge
At the maximum overheating of the coolant, a red triangle will flash.
The operating temperature of the engine must be strictly observed.
Red color - the temperature is too high. Stop the car, turn off the engine. Assistance from a service station specialist is required.
Pilot lamps
— automatic transmission
Regulation D-3 (button pressed) for driving in road conditions in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears.
ABS
— engine electrical equipment
Lights up with the ignition on and during start-up. As soon as the engine starts, it goes out.
Any other light indicates a malfunction. The engine electronics switches to the emergency operating program. You can continue driving to the nearest service station. Long operation of the car with a burning control lamp is not recommended. Sometimes there are cases of one-time short-term ignition of the lamp. This is normal. If it goes out and does not light up again - there is no reason to worry.
— dimensions
Illuminates when the outdoor lighting is turned on.
— trailer turn signals
Lights up simultaneously with the inclusion of trailer direction indicators and flashes at the same frequency. If it does not light up or stops flashing, then one of the direction indicator bulbs is burned out.
— high beam
Lights up simultaneously with the inclusion of high beam headlights or a light signal.
— brake system
Lights up if the brake fluid level drops to a critical level. The help of specialists of the service station is required. In the system self-diagnosis mode, it lights up together with the generator control lamp.
— parking brake and clutch
Illuminates when the ignition is on and the parking brake is applied. In all other cases, it warns of a clutch malfunction and the need to check the system at a service station.
— direction indicators
Lights up at the same time as turning on the turns. Increasing the blinking frequency warns that the turn signal lamp has burned out.
— generator, battery charger
Illuminates when the ignition is switched on. It goes out after starting the engine and gaining a certain speed.
If it lights up while driving, stop the car, turn off the engine. The battery may not be charging, cooling may be interrupted. On a diesel engine, the power brake booster will stop functioning. Do not resume movement until the malfunction is eliminated.
— engine oil pressure
Lights up when the ignition is turned on. Goes out after starting the engine. It may light up for a short time when the engine is warm and idling. Should go out as the rpm increases.
If it lights up while driving, stop the car and turn off the engine. Engine lubrication may be disrupted. Do not resume traffic, you need the help of specialists from the service station.
automatic control system
— safety belt
Lights up for a few seconds after the ignition is switched on. At the same time, a warning acoustic signal sounds: fasten your seat belts!
— preheat
Illuminates only when the pre-heater is in operation (diesel engine) until the required temperature in the combustion chambers is reached.
