Function control (self-diagnosis)
When the ignition is switched on, an automatic function check is performed, during which all segments of the indicators are displayed on the display for about 5 seconds.
Automatic function control mode allows you to check the serviceability of all devices on the display at a glance. The faulty one is identified immediately.
All segments of the various indicators on the display remain on and in full until the end of the function check.
The electronic speedometer display will show one digit for about 2 seconds, then the number 288 will be displayed. As soon as the engine starts, the function control mode is interrupted. After that, all indicators will be real.

"F" - error
If any of the instruments show erroneous readings, they will automatically turn off and the letter "F" (error) will appear on the electronic oil pressure gauge.
A service station will help you figure out the cause of the defect and fix it.
Speedometer
The electronic speedometer indicates the vehicle speed from 4 to 255 km/h or from 3 to 158 mph. Switching from one measurement system to another is done by pressing the T button located to the left of the indicator lamp (not less than 3 seconds). At speeds up to 4 km/h (3 miles/hour) the display shows 0.

Total mileage counter
Switching one counter to another (total per day) is carried out by briefly pressing the T button, to the left of the control lamp.
Daily mileage counter
The trip meter readings are reset using the 0 button to the right of the indicator lamp.
Tachometer
When the maximum frequency is reached, the red sector lights up, and when it is exceeded, all segments start flashing. Driving according to the tachometer readings helps save fuel.
- White sector - normal frequency. Try to drive in any gear with minimum engine speed if possible (approximately 2000 -3000 rpm). And at a uniform speed.
- Red sector - danger sector! The engine may fail.
PRND321 - automatic transmission
Voltmeter with signal sector

The article was published on the website [www.OPELBOOK.ru]
When starting the engine, the voltmeter readings should not be lower than 10 volts, and while driving - not lower than 12 volts. If this happens, it is necessary to check the system at a service station.
When the voltage drops to 9 volts or exceeds 15 volts, the corresponding red triangles will flash.
These signal triangles also control the operation of the generator. When the ignition is on and the engine is not running, they light without blinking. They go out after the engine starts and reaches a certain speed.
If they start flashing while driving, it means the battery is not charging, cooling may be interrupted. On a diesel engine, the brake booster may fail. It is necessary to stop and turn off the engine. The help of service station specialists is required.
Engine oil pressure with signal sector

In case of a critical drop in engine oil pressure, a red triangle will flash.
It also functions as an oil pressure warning light. When the ignition is on and the engine is not running, it lights up without blinking.
Goes out after the engine starts. May come on briefly when the engine is idling when hot. Should go out when the engine speed increases.
If it flashes while driving, stop the car and turn off the engine. The engine lubrication system may not be working. Do not resume driving - specialist assistance is required.
Fuel reserve

If the tank is full, the display will show the letter F (full). Then digital readings, with 6 liters remaining, two flashing dashes are displayed. Refill required.
Coolant temperature gauge

When the coolant overheats to the maximum, the red triangle will flash.
The operating temperature range of the engine must be strictly observed.
Red color - the temperature is too high. Stop the car, turn off the engine. The help of service station specialists is required.
Control lamps

Position D-3 (button pressed) for driving on the road in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears.
ABS
Lights up when the ignition is turned on and during start-up. As soon as the engine starts, it goes out.
Any other lighting means a malfunction. The engine electronics switches to the emergency mode program. You can continue driving to the nearest service station. Long-term operation of the car with the indicator lamp on is not recommended. Sometimes there may be cases of a one-time short-term lighting of the lamp. This is normal. If it goes out and does not light up again, there is no reason to worry.
Lights up when the outside lighting is turned on.
Lights up at the same time as the trailer turn signals are turned on and flashes at the same frequency. If it does not light up or stops flashing, then one of the turn signal lamps has burned out.
Lights up simultaneously with the high beam headlights or the light signal.
Lights up if the brake fluid level drops to a critical level. The assistance of service station specialists is required. In the system self-diagnosis mode, it lights up together with the generator control lamp.
Lights up when the ignition is on and the parking brake is applied. In all other cases, it warns of a clutch malfunction and the need to check the system at a service station.
Lights up simultaneously with the turn signals. An increase in the flashing frequency warns that the turn signal lamp has burned out.
Lights up when the ignition is turned on. Goes out after the engine starts and reaches a certain speed.
If it lights up while driving, stop the car and turn off the engine. The battery may not be charging, or cooling may be interrupted. The brake booster will stop working on a diesel engine. Do not resume driving until the malfunction is fixed.
Lights up when the ignition is turned on. Goes out after the engine starts. May light up briefly when the warm engine is idling. Should go out when the engine speed increases.
If it lights up while driving, stop the car and turn off the engine. The engine lubrication process may be disrupted. Do not resume driving; seek help from service station specialists.
automatic control system
Lights up for a few seconds after the ignition is turned on. At the same time, a warning acoustic signal sounds: fasten your seat belts!
Lights only while the preheater is operating (diesel engine) until the required temperature in the combustion chambers is reached.
