In the engine compartment, loosen the clamping sleeve and disconnect the speedometer flexible shaft from the gearbox/transmission assembly.
Remove the steering column cover (see chapter 10).
If necessary, remove the screw caps, then remove the four screws (two top and two bottom) and remove the instrument panel trim.
Remove three screws (one top and two bottom) instrument panel fasteners and carefully pull the instrument panel towards you (fig. 12.21).
Press down on the speedometer flexible shaft retaining clip and release it (fig. 12.22).
Release the retaining rings and disconnect the plug connectors from the rear of the instrument panel (fig. 12.23).
Remove the instrument panel.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, but make sure that the flexible shaft of the speedometer does not twist or get stuck between the instrument panel and the engine compartment bulkhead.
