Control lamps

Fuel

Lights up when the fuel gauge needle is in the red section. Do not continue driving with an empty tank.

Automatic control system Automatic control system

Direction indicator

Flashes when the indicator is on. Fast flashing: the indicator is faulty.

Engine oil pressure

[Original posted on the website OpelBook.ru]

Lights up when the ignition is on, goes out after the engine starts. May light up when idling with a hot engine, should go out at high speeds.

If it lights up while driving: turn off the engine immediately. The engine lubrication process may be interrupted, which leads to the engine and wheels locking. Press the clutch and switch to idle speed, and in automatic mode, set the gearshift lever to the "N" position, turn off the ignition, remove the key only after the car has completely stopped (otherwise the steering wheel lock may be activated unexpectedly). Contact a service station for help.

Brake system

If there is a control system (Check-Control), as well as in countries with legal requirements for monitoring the braking system and ABS.

When the lamp lights up: Stop the car. The brake fluid level is too low. Contact a service station. To check the operation, this lamp lights up together with the generator control lamp.

Brakes

Lights up when the ignition is on and the parking brake is applied.

Check Engine Light

Lights up after the ignition is turned on when starting the engine. Goes out when the engine is running. If it does not go out or lights up while driving, this indicates a malfunction in the system. The electronic system switches to the emergency program. Further driving is permitted. Contact a service station. Do not operate for a long time with the light on. A one-time light for a short time is of no importance.

Generator

Lights up when the ignition is on. Goes out when the RPM increases. If it lights up while driving: stop the car, turn off the engine. The battery is not charged. Contact a service station.

High beam

Lights up when the high beam and headlight signal are turned on.

Trailer indicator

Flashes when driving with a trailer at the turn signal interval. Does not work if one of the indicators on the trailer or the car fails.

All wheel drive

Lighting up when driving only front-wheel drive. To eliminate the damage, contact a service station.

Flashing: long-term all-wheel drive activation, contact a service station immediately.

Automatic transmission mode

Lighting: Sport driving mode is on.

Flashing: there is a malfunction, contact a service station to eliminate the cause.

Pre-ignition

Lights up when pre-ignition is switched on (diesel).

Seat belt

In countries with legislative control: lights up when the ignition is turned on for a few seconds (with sound signal) fastened the belt.
