Starting engines 14 NV, 16 SV, 18 SV


Set the gearshift lever to idle speed, depress the clutch. If the engine is cold, fully depress the gas once to activate automatic starting. Turn the key in the steering wheel lock to position III.

After starting, press the gas pedal briefly to reduce engine speed.

Starting with a warm engine: keep the gas pedal pressed halfway, or fully when the engine is hot.

Set the gearshift lever to idle, depress the clutch. Do not depress the gas pedal, turn the key in the steering wheel shaft lock to position III.



As the engine temperature increases, the engine shaft speed will automatically decrease to idle speed:

Shift the gearshift lever to idle, depress the clutch, do not press the gas pedal, turn the key in the steering wheel shaft lock to position II. When the pre-ignition lamp goes out, turn the key to position III.

At outside temperatures below +10°C: when starting, give full throttle. As soon as the engine starts, slowly release the accelerator pedal.

At temperatures below -15°: a longer pre-ignition time may be required. Start the engine a few seconds after the ignition light has turned off.

Set the gearshift lever to the idle position, depress the clutch, do not depress the gas pedal, turn the key in the steering wheel shaft lock to position I. When the pre-ignition lamp goes out (4 sec.), turn the key to position III.

Lift the lever slightly. Press the release head. Lower the lever completely.

The parking brake operates the rear axle drum brakes. When pulled, it locks itself.
