Replacing the oil filter (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Remove the lower engine compartment protection.

Unscrew the oil filter.

Warning: Use caution as the engine and oil are hot and may cause burns.

Installation

Clean the mating surface on the housing.

Lubricate the rubber seal of the new oil filter with clean engine oil.

Screw the oil filter onto the threaded bushing of the housing by hand until the rubber seal of the oil filter touches the sealing surface, then tighten the oil filter by 2/3 of a turn.

Install the lower engine compartment protection.

Check the engine oil level and correct it if necessary.
