3-door car trunk lid lock servo drive (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Move the rear window wiper arm away from the glass.



Disconnect the 2 connectors (1) from the rear window defroster.

Release the 2 clips (1) and remove the inner seal from the tailgate.



Remove the caps, unscrew the 4 bolts (2) and remove the glass together with the brackets from the tailgate.

Remove 2 screws (3).

Using a flat, wide tool inserted between the tailgate trim and the door, release the 12 clips (1) and remove the tailgate trim.



Remove 3 screws (1) and remove brackets from the inner door panel.





Carefully remove the dust and moisture protection film from the luggage compartment door.



Remove the clamp (1) and disconnect the remote control rod of the lock from the servo motor.



Remove 2 nuts (1) and remove the servo motor from the tailgate.



Disconnect the connector (1) from the servo motor.

Installation

Connect the connector (1) to the servo motor.

Install the servo motor to the tailgate and secure it with 2 nuts.



Connect the remote control rod of the central lock to the servo motor and secure the rod with the clamp (1).

Carefully install the dust and moisture protection film on the luggage compartment door.



Install the brackets on the inner door panel and secure them with 3 screws (1).





Install the tailgate trim and secure it with 12 clips (1).



Install the glass together with the brackets on the luggage compartment door, secure with 4 bolts (2) and install the caps on the bolts.



Screw in the 2 screws (3).

Install the inner seal from the tailgate and secure it with two clips (1).

Connect the 2 connectors (1) to the rear window heater.





Install the rear window wiper arm onto the glass.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
