Outside rear view mirror — removal and installation (Opel Ascona C)

1. Place a wooden or plastic wedge against the outer edge of the mirror glass and carefully pry the mirror free. Disconnect the regulator connectors and heater wires, then remove the glass (see photo 42.1 A and B).


2. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Be careful when installing the mirror completely in place: an unexpected movement when the ball enters the socket can break the glass.
