Adjustment
Before driving, you should adjust the interior rearview mirror, trying to achieve a position in which the center of the rear window opening is visible in the center of the mirror (the mirror must be set to the daytime driving position).
The mirror is moved to the position for driving at night using a lever located under the mirror housing (see illustration 17.33) - this allows you to reduce the blinding effect of headlights from vehicles moving behind you.

Dimming function
Some models are equipped with an automatic dimming rearview mirror to reduce the glare from headlights of passing vehicles.
The dimming function is only available when the ignition is on. In addition, when reverse gear and interior lighting are engaged, or when any of the doors are opened, the mirror does not dim.
