Removal and installation the flywheel (1.4L engine) (Opel Corsa C)

Removal



Remove the gearbox.

Remove the clutch housing assembly.

Disconnect the flywheel.

Removing the flywheel: 1 – flywheel; 2 – special device; 3 – mounting bolts

Removing the flywheel: 1 – flywheel; 2 – special device; 3 – mounting bolts


Note: Special tool KM 6263 remains on the engine.


Lock the flywheel using the special tool KM 652.

Unscrew the 6 mounting bolts.

Check the rear crankshaft oil seal, flywheel and flywheel ring gear for damage or wear, replace if necessary.

Clean the contact surfaces of the crankshaft and flywheel.

Installation



Install the flywheel onto the crankshaft.

Lock it using the special device KM 652.

Clean 6 threads.

Tighten 6 bolts (3) to 35 Nm, turn further by +30°.

Flywheel installation: 1 – flywheel; 2 – special device; 3 – mounting bolts

Note: Please use new bolts when installing.


Apply (red) thread locking compound.

Install the clutch housing assembly.

Install the gearbox.
