Three-point seat belts
The car is equipped with three-point seat belts with an automatic winding and locking mechanism, which provide complete freedom of movement, while constantly holding the spring-loaded belts tightly to the body. About the correct position of the seat.
With strong acceleration or sudden braking of the car, the belts instantly lock.
Seat Belt Instructions
Seat belts should lie on those parts of the body where the strong bones of the skeleton are located. The belt should pass over the pelvic bone, chest and shoulder, and not lie on the stomach.
You need to adjust the seat belt so that it fits as closely as possible to the body, while maintaining a comfortable fit. Only in this case, the seat belt will be able to effectively perform its protective function, for which it is installed on the car. A slack seat belt significantly reduces the effectiveness of the passenger's passive protection.
Keep the seat belt straps free of polish, oil, and other chemicals, especially battery electrolyte. Use neutral soap and water to clean the seat belts. The seat belt must be replaced if the belt is worn, dirty or damaged.
It is imperative to replace the seat belt assembly if it has been used by the driver or passenger in a severe vehicle collision, even if there are no visible signs of damage to the seat belt.
Do not use the seat belt if the strap is twisted.
Each seat belt must only be used by one passenger at a time. It is dangerous to fasten a passenger and a child sitting on his lap with the same seat belt.
Any changes to the design of the seat belts that interfere with the normal operation of the automatic slack selection devices or make it difficult to adjust the belt to eliminate slack are prohibited.
It may be difficult to retract the belt onto the inertia reel if the webbing and intermediate guide bracket are dirty. Therefore, make sure that the belt strap and the guide bracket are clean.
If the seat belt is retracted into the reel, it will work in emergency lock mode. In this mode, the seat belt does not disturb the comfort of the passenger. In the event of a vehicle collision, the inertia coil blocks the seat belt from being extended, which holds the passenger in place. When the seat belt is fully pulled out from the reel, it will switch to the automatic belt lock mode. If the belt feels too tight, or if it makes it difficult for the passenger to move when the vehicle is stationary or while driving, then the inertia reel has switched to automatic locking mode after the belt has been pulled too far off the reel. To return the inertia reel to a more convenient emergency lockout mode, stop the vehicle in a safe place on level ground and fully retract the belt onto the inertia reel. This will put the reel into emergency belt lock mode. Then pull out the seat belt again to the required length in order to buckle up.
Seat belt stoppers
The seat belt system on the front seats is equipped with seat belt stoppers. In frontal and rear collisions, starting from a certain degree of severity of the accident, the seat belt buckles are pulled down, thus tightening the belts.
Deployed seat belt buckles are indicated by an illuminated warning light.
If the seat belt stoppers have worked, they must be replaced.
Note. If the seat belts are not damaged, they retain their functionality even if the seat belt stoppers are activated.
Belt buckle indicator
The seat belt buckle stops, together with the airbag systems, are electronically controlled and their operation is indicated by an indicator on the instrument panel. When the ignition is switched on, the indicator lights up for about 4 s. If it does not light up, does not go out after 4 forces, or lights up while driving, then there is a malfunction in the belt buckle stop system or airbag systems. The seat belt stoppers or airbags may not deploy in an accident.
Fastening seat belts
Pull the belt evenly off the reel and, without twisting, pull it over your body.
Snap the buckle tongue into the clasp.
The front seat backrest must not be tilted too far back, as this will adversely affect the effectiveness of the seat belts. The recommended tilt angle is about 25°. The waist belt should fit snugly against the body without twisting. During the trip, it should be tightened from time to time by pulling the shoulder strap.
Belt (especially when fastening pregnant women) should run as low as possible over the thighs to avoid pressure on the lower abdomen.
A thick layer of outerwear violates the tightness of the belt. The belt must not be placed on hard or fragile items in clothing pockets (e.g. keys, pens or glasses), as this may result in injury. There should be no objects between the belt and the body, such as handbags or mobile phones.
Adjusting the height of the upper guide element of the front and rear belts
Pull out the strap slightly.
Push down the button on the slide control.
Move the slider up or down.
Lock the sliding regulator until you hear a click.
Attention! Do not adjust the belt height while driving.
Attention! Adjust the height of the belt so that it passes over the shoulder and fits snugly around it. In no case should the belt pass over the neck or upper arm.
Removing the belt
To remove the belt, press the red button on the lock, the belt will automatically wind around the roller.
Three-point seat belt, middle rear seat
The belt can only be pulled out of the tensioner when the rear seatback is locked in the upright position in its holders.
Belt check
All parts of the seat belt system should be checked from time to time for damage and function. Damaged parts, stretched belts in the event of an accident and actuated lock stops must be replaced.
Attention! Do not change anything in the seat belts, belt anchorages, automatic winders or belt buckles.
Attention! Do not damage the seat belts with sharp objects or pinch the belts.
