Seat belts — removal and installation (Opel Astra G)

Front seat belt and belt tensioner reel

1. Remove the front seat.

2. Loosen the bolts and remove the lower belt guide at the bottom of the B-pillar. Remove the belt from the guide.

3. Remove the rubber seal from the middle pillar of the body, remove the lower and upper pillar trim, removing the latches (see photo).





4. The further procedure for removing the belt is illustrated in the photo.

















5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Rear seat belt

6. Remove the rear side trim by unscrewing the lower belt mounting bolt (see photo).



7. Loosen the upper belt mounting bolt. On Zafira models, the belt is attached to the adjuster (see photo)





8. On Zafira models, remove the trim, unscrew the bolts of the lower belt mount, the guide mount to the body pillar and the regulator mount. Remove the guide and regulator.



9. The further procedure for removing the belt is illustrated in the photo.







10. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Lubricate the belt mounting bolts with a fixing compound (see photo).

3rd row seat belts (Zafira)

11. Remove the carpet, upper luggage compartment trim, remove the plugs, unscrew the bolts and remove the upper and lower belt buckles (see photo).





12. Loosen the screw and remove the belt guide from the body pillar.

13. Remove the lower trim on the side of the luggage compartment, unscrew the bolt and remove the tensioner coil (see photo). Remove the 3rd row seat belt buckle block (see photo).
