Choosing the Right System
The child should be transported in the vehicle as long as possible backwards. It makes sense to change the system only when the correct support of the child's head at eye level ceases to be provided. The still very weak cervical vertebrae of a child during an accident are loaded in a semi-lying position against the direction of travel much less than in a direct landing.
Note. Children under 12 years of age or shorter than 150 cm are only allowed to travel in an appropriate child safety seat.
When transporting children, use suitable child restraint systems according to body weight.
The correct installation of child restraint systems must be observed, see the operating instructions supplied with the child restraint system.
The upholstery of the Opel child restraint system is wet-cleanable.
Child restraint systems must not be glued or covered with other materials.
After an accident, a child restraint system that has been activated must be replaced.
For safety reasons, it is generally recommended to install child seats in the outermost positions of the rear row of seats.
It is recommended to always use the full weight range of the respective systems.
IN 1: If there is no front passenger airbag or Opel seat occupancy recognition and child restraint system with transponders. In addition, the front passenger seat must be equipped with a height adjuster that must be in the highest position, the front passenger seat must be moved all the way back, and the height adjuster for the front passenger's seat belt guide must be lowered to the lowest position.
AT 2: If there is no side airbag, if the front passenger seat is moved all the way back, or if a seat occupied recognition device and an Opel child restraint system with transponders are installed. In addition, the front passenger seat must be equipped with a height adjuster, which must be in the highest position, the front passenger seat must be moved all the way back. Ensure that the vehicle seat belt runs between the shoulder and the guide on the vehicle as evenly as possible.
U: universal suitability in combination with a three-point seat belt.
