Removal

1. Wash the windshield, turn the windshield wipers on and off again - they should be in the extreme lower position.

2. Mark the position of the rubber wiper blades by sticking tape or insulating tape along the blade to the windshield.

3. Open the hood.

4. On Corsa models, fold back the decorative cover (see accompanying illustration).

5. On Meriva models, use a screwdriver to pry the protective cap off the lever axle spindle.

6. Loosen the fastening nut of the corresponding lever by 2 turns. Slightly swinging the windshield wiper lever from side to side, pull it off the seat sleeve of the axle spindle, use a suitable tool if necessary. For this purpose, service stations use a special device Hazet 1966-05.

7. Completely loosen the nut and remove the wiper arm from the spindle.

Installation

8. Make sure that the windscreen wiper drive position corresponds to the extreme position, if necessary, turn on the drive and set the required position.

9. Install the lever on the spindle mounting sleeve so that the wiper blade coincides with the previously applied adhesive tape.

10. Tighten the lever mounting nut manually. Close the hood, wash the windshield and after a while turn on the windshield wipers - when working, the wiper blades should not go beyond the glass, and when the drive is turned off, they should return to the extreme lower position. Otherwise, loosen the nut and reinstall the corresponding lever.

11. After completing the adjustment, tighten the mounting nuts and replace the protective caps/covers.

Rear window

12. Removal/installation of the rear window wiper arm is performed in a similar manner (see above).
