Windshield
Removing
1. Wash the windshield, turn the wipers on and off again - they should be in the lowest position.
2. Mark the position of the rubber wiper blades by sticking adhesive tape or duct tape along the wiper blade on the windshield.
3. Open the hood.
4. On Corsa models, open the decorative cover (see resist. illustration).
8.4. Protective cover (1) fixing nut (2) windshield wiper arm
5. On Meriva models, pry off the protective cap with a screwdriver and remove it from the arm shaft spindle.
6. Loosen the fixing nut of the corresponding lever by 2 turns. Slightly rocking the wiper arm from side to side, pull the wiper arm off the axle spindle seat, using a suitable tool if necessary. For this purpose, service stations use a special device Hazet 1966-05.
7. Completely turn away a nut and remove the screen wiper lever from a spindle.
Installation
8. Make sure that the position of the wiper drive corresponds to the extreme position, if necessary, turn on the drive and set the desired position.
9. Install the lever on the spindle seat so that the wiper blade is aligned with the previously applied adhesive tape (tape).
10. Tighten the arm mounting nut by hand. Close the hood, wash the windshield and after a while turn on the wipers - during operation, the wiper blades should not go beyond the glass, and when the drive is turned off, they should return to their lowest position. Otherwise, loosen the nut and repeat the installation of the corresponding lever.
11. After adjustment is complete, tighten the fixing nuts and replace the protective caps/covers.
Rear glass
12. Removal / installation of the rear window wiper arm is carried out in a similar manner (see above).
