1. Remove the rear side trim (see Section 45).

2. Remove the decorative cover of the upper seat belt anchor, unscrew the fastening screw and remove the anchor bracket (see accompanying illustration).

3. Disconnect the belt guide bracket from the B-pillar (arrows B), unscrew the mounting screw (arrow C) and remove the belt return device (see illustration 50.2).

4. Remove the lower anchor bracket mounting screw (arrow D) (see illustration 50.2), remove the belt from the bracket and remove the belt assembly from the passenger compartment.

5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Check the proper functioning of the seat belt (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques").

6. Remove the upper B-pillar trim (see Section 44).

7. Remove the upper anchor bracket from the guide on the B-pillar (see accompanying illustration).

8. Remove the lower B-pillar trim, (see Section 44).

9. Remove the inner door sill trim panel (see Section 42).

10. Open the door and loosen the outer nut of the return device mounting bolt using a socket wrench with a long handle. Remove the return device from the B-pillar (see illustration 50.7).

11. Move the front seat back as far as it will go.

12. Separate the decorative cover from the front seat from the retainer (arrow A) and release it from the holder (arrow B) (see illustration 50.7). Pull the guide covers (arrows C) out of the mounting sockets and remove the cover.

13. Remove the screw securing the lower seat belt anchor and separate the belt from the seat.

14. Release the seat belt from the guide bracket and remove it from the B-pillar.

15. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the seat belt fastening screw with the required force, having previously lubricated its thread with a fixing compound.

16. Place the belt strap in the B-pillar trim without twisting it (see accompanying illustration). Check the proper functioning of the belt (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques").
